The first HDTV card I bought was ATI HDTV wonder. It worked OK. The
only problem have is that I do not know if I can record HDTV as
background job with its original enclosed software. I found whenever
it records, it also opens a display window to show the programs it is
recording. This will push my CPU load to over 50%. Otherwise, the card is so far so good.
The second card I bought was Kworld ATV110(?) 2 weeks ago. The good
thing for the card is that I can make recording as background job. It
takes less 10% CPU load while recording. But the major problem I had
with the card is that its sensitivity is way too low. With the same antanna,
my ATI card can pick up over 10 stations with over 80% signal strength.
But Kworld card only picked up 2 stations with over 80% signal strength.
so I returned the card. -
I just use the DVR hooked up via firewire.
