I have a AIW 9800 Video Card and my computer has become my pvr. Sometimes movies and tv shows come on late at night and I feel bad about leaving the computer on all night. I can set timers to kick in at certain times to record movie and such, but I am wondering about the options availabe to save on energy when it comes to my computer. There seems to be a Standby Mode and A Hybernation Mode. How do these affect video capturing. If I have MMC set to record a movie will the computer wake up and record the movie.
Is there a way for me to program my computer to turn on at a certain time, without me actually being there to turn on the computer? Is there a way to do that with Scheduled Tasks?
Thank you in advance for any information you can give me on this matter.
