    Can someone help me solve this WinAVI error " Can't decode this file! maybe the file is broken or system not install the decoder". and another error " The video pin cannot be connected, please e-mail c:\ graph.txt error file"

    I'd use your DVD as source instead of an MKV file.


    ... and I'd contact WinAVI's support. They owe it to you after purchasing their program.

    thanks for ur reply. but what do u mean as use the dvd as a source. i get the same error when i try to convert the mkv file to avi etc ?

    I mean, use the DVD that you own

    I've ever met such a problem too. But after I install the codec package got from the winavi support. everything goes well.
    BTW, you can email to support@winavi.com for the package.

    Be careful with codec packs. As pointed out many times here, they can cause more conflicts and problems than they solve. If you do a search on mkv files you will many posts raising many issues, usually followed by solutions (see how the forum thing works)

  7. i downloaded the powerdvd codecs as the website says...it still has the same error.

    i switched to nero vision express. it rocks.
