Hi, I have a DVD Fight Club and want to back it up onto a Verbatim DL disc. The original disc is almost 8 GB and the movie is around 6.7 GB.
I want to put ONLY the movie on the dual layer disc. My question is DVD Shrink has the option to remove or leave the layer break. What's the best way to place a movie ONLY on a Dual Layer disc? Can I decide where to place it or is it done automatically?
I'd like to have it change at the end of a chapter instead of during a scene.

For best results you should use DVD Decrypter and do a simple ISO->Read, ISO-Write. This will remove all the restrictions, so you can skip the intros and menus etc., but keep the layer break where it is. It will all fit on a DL disc anyway.
There are erstrictions to the placement of the layer break on (re)writable disks which may restrict you from placing it where you please.
If you must strip it down to movie only, I would suggest you then use a DL aware authoring program to create new chapters and to place the layer break where you think it works best.Read my blog here.
