    I saw somewhere, that ffmpegx was released under gpl. (Must be with all this gpl software included in it), but I haven't been able to find any cvs or links to the source code. Can anybody help me?

    I don't think ffmpegX is released under the GPL, but it's only a front-end for other GPL'd applications (ie. no code changed in the applications). Though only major can give the definite answer to this.

    Indeed, ffmpegX is not released under the GPL.

    OK. http://freshmeat.net/projects/ffmpegx/ just said so. I was thinking of porting it to Linux, but maybe I should just create a new from scratch.
