I have this motion video that plays before the menu appears. But the thing is, it appears as widescreen with the black bars at the top and bottom. But the VOB also has the black bars so it's really full screen.
Is there a way to have this menu change to full screen so that the black bars are removed and the image are resized accordingly? I just want to see if it looks okay. Otherwise, I'll just stick to its original form.

You would have to extract the video (demux) from the VOB, crop the bars of the top and battom, crop the ends off the left and right, then resize the lot to full screen res before re-encoding. Chances are, at the end of this, you will have a pretty soft, pixelated video.
What is wrong with the bars ?Read my blog here.

Well, after the end of the clip plays, the menu comes on and the menu is the exact image of the last frame from the clip. I was wondering if I even have enough space to put in the track icons. Since it's this complicated, I guess I will just keep it as is.
