    I realize I'll probably have to go through WAV at some point to get there but I can't find any program to do this for me anyone got an idea?

    Have you tried besweet??? I don't know if it does aac but it does a lot.

    No need for faad and ffmpeg, at least not if you compile ffmpeg with --enable-faad. ffmpeg should be all you need.

    So I have FAAD2, but I don't know how to use it. I must be an idiot. But, I do't get teh FFMPEG prog part of the response. . . helpz

    I opened an AAC in Goldwave just this morning, and saved as 48kHz WAV. Then convert WAV to AC3. You missed my thread by hours.
