    Hi guys i have ffmpeg and i was trying to convert an .avi movie to dvd ,can somebody please tell me which settings do i have to use,pardon my ignorance but i am totally new here

    1. Open AVI in ffmpegX, 2. Select "DVD ffmpeg", 3. Possibly also disable "Normalize audio" in the audio tab, 4. Click Encode.

    I am new here and i just got an Ipod Video and i am trying to convert my avi files to mpg and i tried the way that you said but the file was blank and said it needed an application. So i tried to use Quicktime, but it just wouln't open.
    Can anyone help me?
