The file name is Rome.SO1E08.HR.HDTV.ACR.5.1.XviD-NBS . The episode is in Letterbox and want to keep it that way as HBO showed it (not 16x9). I thought I could just copy it to a DVD-R and slap it in my DVP642, play it and record it on my Panasonic DMR-EH50 but it was a no go. The Philips won't play it. I used a program that I can't remember but it converted it to full screen. Is there any program(s) someone can recommend that will keep it in its letterbox format so I can get it on DVD-R?.

You are asking help with downloaded copyrighted material, i'm fairly certain that this thread will be locked, if you read this before hand, you may wanna edit out the filename......it will probably still end up being locked anyhow, though, and you probably aren't gonna get any help in this matter, either......
