I've been thinking about buying noe now that my old Stylus Color 600 is knoocking on heaven's door. I've always loved Epson printers and scanners but while looking for reviews about it I ran into some from users who said the paper would jam up alot and that the disc tray stopped working properly after less than 100 prints. Anyone else have experience with this printer or do you think like I do that it's just whiney consumers? Thanks

I like my 320 though it's used almost exclusively for printing CDs and DVDs. I also occasionally use it to print off borderless 4x6" photos. I've never had issues with the 4x6 paper, but the disc tray is tricky from the start. For some reason it likes to kick out the tray on the first print from it each run which will cause it to stop and give an error. Simply replacing the tray and hitting the proper button on the printer takes care of it. It's annoying, but not really a critical flaw. It does photo printing on discs better than my Everest II thermal printer, but of course fine text (smaller than 10pt) is a little blurry as you'd expect from any inkjet. Most of the 4x6 prints are right off my digital camera (Canon PowerShot) and that works just fine.

I also use it as a card reader for my computer since any cards you put in the on-printer reader will show up on your PC if the printer is connected to it and powered on. I could probably have gotten away with the R300 since I don't ever use the printer without the PC or the camera, but since I got a good deal on this one shortly after it came out I picked it up.

Ink is pricey and the 6-color doesn't last much longer than a similar 4-color inkjet. If I were to do it again I'd probably get the wide-format Epson that prints on discs just because the difference in gamut between the 6- and 8-color ink systems is pretty noticeable.
