I haven't tried this version 2.x but remember reading that it doesn't support
Batch mode or that it has PROBLEMS with batch mode and not to use it till
    a fix was out.

    Currently using v2.02 and batch encoding works...encoded 7 one-hour files Christmas Eve/morning.

  6. Yes, v2.02 is what I am currently using, and with no problems whatsoever.

  7. I've used 2.02 and have not experienced any problems on the encoding side, however, I was using the merge/cut tool to split a svcd file and found that although the video was cut at the point requested the audio for the last 40 seconds or so was missing. I tried this several times and found the same result. File was a SVCD 23.976 NTSC format. Then I used DVTool to split the file and success.

I use 2.2 a month now (we expect 2.3 next week...)
    It is much better 2.1
Less speed but less blocks too!
VBR seems to work now well!
No probs with batch encode... I do it right now!
Some probs with mpeg tools, cut and join, but those ones never fixed!
