I just brought a nec 4550 It works fine but the burn set to maximum is taking 25 minutes with titanium 8X datawrite discs. The firmware is 1.06. This discs worked fine on my old pioneer 108 at full speed til it died.
Does this burner just work better with other discs? What discs are others using with this burner?
Dvd shrink works at the quoted 8 speed but for some reason clone doesn't. I have always prefered to use clone when doing movie only and prefer the simpliesty of it.
Any ideas, anyone else have this problem with the nec 4550?
