    hi how do i convert a 2 part avi to a dvd with both parts joined using winavi- i just want to watch this movie on a dvd player,to make sure quality is ok- do i use batch encode,also when i try it tries to over write the vob files that are from the first part of the avi!!
    will it play ok is there a bad jump from part 1 to part 2??

    when you hit which type of format you want to convert to, find both of the movie files and click both of them while holding control then right click one of them and press select.

    Make sure you got them in order from top to bottom on the list that shows up next. Hover over the file to see the full name. If you need to move one up or down, select the file on the list and click the up or down arrow to the left.


    Or.. you can merge the 2 files which I don't know how to do and convert the file as one.

    With all due respect to oneclickwonder apps, the best way to do this, is to encode each AVI to DVD specs mpg, then author these as 2 parts of the same title using a real authoring app like TMPGEnc DVD Author.

    hi yes i do normally use tpemgenc to encode,join and re author but this time i want to do a quick conversion just to test the quality
    virtualdub might be an option to join the files,anyone find this simple to do??

    Yes, if WinAVI doesn't handle 2 source files to one title, it seems like the way to go.

    just tried it-the picture is jerking - it is the first time i have used winavi version 7.1 somebody else i know has the sme problem,waste of time

    yes i had the exact same problem recently

    it's 7.1 that's the problem. Try getting 6.3 which i did, it solved the picture jerking problem for me.
