I tried to record a dvd onto a blank hi8 tape by connecting my camcorder to my AD-1500 DVD player. Whenever i trie to record, a message pops up on the lcd screen of the camrecorder that says "COPY INHIBIT". I use a Sony Hand Digital 8 Handycam. It wont let me record the dvd. Is there anything i can to get it to fix? (to get the camrecorder to record the dvd).

Macrovision Copy Protection.
You need to:
1.) get a firmware patch for your DVD player. Note: Not all DVD players can be upgraded.
2.) Buy a macrovision remover box. I think Radio shack sells them.
EIther that or u have turned the "ready only" tab on the tape to on
