Gee, crystal ball time. Could you be a little more vague ?

How about - what brand and model ? Not all recorders have the same capabilties.

Have you read the manual that comes with it ? These things are usually explained in the manuals.

The one restriction will be that you cannot do this with commercial, protected disks.

  3. Do you have a DVD burner on your PC? That would be a lot easier!

    Here's how:

    - Download DVD Decrypter, install it then launch it
    - Insert your disc and select the correct drive (if you have more than one DVD drive)
    - Go to "Mode" --> "ISO" --> "Read"
    - Click on the little folder icon (under "Destination") to choose where to put the file
    - Click the big button with a DVD and a hard drive to begin copying it

    To burn:

    - Insert your blank DVD
    - Go to "Mode" --> "ISO" --> "Write"
    - Again, make sure your DVD burner is selected
    - Click that little folder again and find the ISO file you just made
    - Click the big button and watch it burn

It seems like a lot of steps, but it really is very easy. One assumption that I've made is that you have a single-layer DVD-R as your original disc (that's an ordinary 4.7GB writable DVD, be it -R or +R, or -RW or +RW). It's a fair bit different if you are talking about copying a commercial DVD as they hold more data, and so you need to "shrink" the video down so it will fit on a blank DVD. If this is the case, just let me know.

    Hope this helps,

  4. You cant copy commercial disks with your dvd recorder that way. Only way you can is with a macrovision free dvd player as source.
