  1. I've been looking at the various (near one click) solutions to make a backup DVD. The amount of time it takes for the computer to make the backup is not an important. I simply want the clearest copy on a single layer DVD. I also want to be able to back up any type of encyption that Hoolywood can offer. Which do you think is the best solution? I've been looking at DVDFab Platinum (US$59) and Anydvd/clonedvd2 (US$80) and Anydvd/cinema craft (US$100) and Nero Recode/Anydvd. I realise it is possible to do all of this free, but I want to try various one click solutions.

  2. AnyDVD along with Shrink I believe is your best choice. Nothing compares to these two programs working in tandem to backup a disk. I personally have not found a DVD that I couldn't copy using these two.

  3. DVDFabDecrypter
    DVDShrink (if needed)
Write with DVDDecrypter or your choice.
    Total cost...$0.00

My experience with AnyDVD (trial) is not good. Explorer reacting strangely & slowly.

I too would say to use DVDFab Decrypter for backing up. It's free.
I find DVDShrink a good tool for stripping your backup from unused parts, like menu's, extra's, unwanted audiostreams etc. And even then, when you have to really "shrink" the "movie-only", it does a good job. It's free too.

    cheers
