Ok, I am trying to copy a burned DVD that is made for my wedding and I'm stumped beyond belief. The original disc plays fine in my dvd drive (s) but once copied to hard drive it skips when played.
I copied it by using Dvd Decryptor file mode and iso mode. Whenever I Burn it (nec 3520a) it skips towards the end. For 2 days I have been fighting this and I just tried playing the Dvd off of the HD and it skips as well.
I just tried de-fragging my HD using Diskeeper and DefragMentor and that didnt help.
Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated as I have a few days to burn about 100 DVD's.

If it is a burned DVD then there should be no encryption on the disk. Try just dragging and dropping the Video_TS folder onto your hard drive straight off of the DVD.

I've tried just dragging it. The files drag fine (which means that the original disc is readable). I've also disabled my virus software. My computer is in very good shape as far as spyware and virus's go. Once they hit my HD they play chopppy via software player and dvd-r / standalone player. I'm ready to fling all my dvd-r's out the window.

Here is a copy of the scan (I dont know if the scan is good or bad). Could this be the problem?

Does your burned DVD play perfectly on your computer via software player or it just playe well on a set top player?
Then when you rip it to your HD, it won't play well using the same sofware player? No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD! -
It plays fine woth windows media player and also on my set top player. The problem is after I try to x-fer the data to my H D either by Dvd Decryptor or dragging and dropping.
I dont know how to read the scans but this one (of the original) dosent seem good. Could it be just good enough to play and lucky enough to x-fer with out error? -

According to this link, the scans are dreadful.

I figured out the problem. I have 2 computers. My desktop has a nec 3520a drive (which isnt the best at reading discs), and an older POS I/O magic ide1008 (which is bad for burning but great for ripping). Whenever it would rip the disc it would corrutp the data. I then (after many tries) got the disc ripped on my laptop via a nec 6500a. On about the 5th try of ripping on the laptop I had a good rip where as all the files would play fine.
My whole problem wasnt in the burn but in the ripping process. When I would burn the mangled data it did nothing more then play as it was supposed to. Thanks to all.
