    Hi newbie here,

I'm having a problem. I'm trying to make a DVD containing some clips of various formats. Most files play allright after making the DVD I'm just having a big probelm with some pieces of VOB that I ripped from another DVD.

The VOB-files play perfect when I put them on a DVD alone.
But when I try and make a continuous film of the VOB's (along with the other formats) in FCP and burn the DVD the tracks from the original VOB
    jitter.

Is this just a problem of to low bit rate? Is there something missing (compression markers)

Or is there another way of creating such a DVD.

    Thanx

I would try and get all files into the .dv format,
then import them into FCP, and then create and
    author the disc through DVDSP.

Most likely in trying to get all the files to fit
(cookie cutter) into one bitrate/audio format/video format,
one of the "various formats" files, need a little
"special" attention, such as an .avi that needs its audio
stripped out rather than re-compressed, or an
DIVX file whose frame rate is 24 fps and all other files
    are 29.97 fps.

Putting everything into .dv stream wil make the problem files
more "noticeable" upon conversion, as FCP isn't drawing
your attention to the problem upon import.
Quicktime Pro, upon converting the files to .dv, with the
movie info window open, should help you figure out
    what files are problematic.
