I have four musical DVDs and wish to select various chapters from all the DVDs to make on compilation DVD.
I can split the episodes from each DVD using DVD shrink.
But how do i combine the episodes from the four dvds to one?
Thanks in advance

If in doubt, Google it.

Hi jimmalenko . . . I thought I'd save you some time. I posted a question on a forum where you explained how to separate VOB files and I asked what the procedure was to join VOB files. Then I found this post and I did what you explained here
"1. Click open and open the first VTS_01_001.VOB (I did this 9 times for each of the 9 files)
2. Select File->Join Clips
1. Create a new folder and name it VIDEO_TS
2. Save the new VTS_01_1.VOB file.
A dialog box will appear:
1. Check so it says 1
2. Click OK.
VOBEdit will make the new working VOB files."
Unfortunately, when I clicked OK there was no processing and I did not have a VOB file in my VIDEO_TS folder.
Any advice? -
Firstly, let's keep all this discussion in one thread - one of your own threads - instead of "thread-jacking" other peoples' threads. Just helps keep order around the place
Secondly, I don't understand why you did step 1 nine times - you only have to do it once. Provided your files are named VTS_01_001.VOB through to VTS_01_009.VOB, you open the 001 file, go to Edit > Join VOBs, and it will find the rest of the VOBs all on its own. Just do that part of the guide exactly as written and displayed in screen caps. No more, no less
As I said in my guide thread for exactly the opposite purpose, I don't think this will do what you intend to do anyway.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Sorry about the dual threads.
I was going to tell you that I tried both ways, using just the first file and then adding all the other files when it didn't work but I forgot.
I tried it again and it still didn't work.
I named each file VTS_01_001.VOB thru VTS_01_009.VOB >
I opened VTS_01_001.VOB >
I clicked Edit > Join Clips >
Save As VTS_01_1.VOB to folder VIDEO_TS >
I clicked OK on Dialog box (First VOB-ID: 1)
But VobEdit didn't process to join the VOB files.
I don't need to use IFOEdit with the joined VOB file because when I run the file through Eazy VCD, Tmpgenc automatically opens and converts the files into .mpg files as the last step. The files are approximately 530,000Kb when completed. The only reason I'm having a problem with this one episode is because it was ruined when I stripped the DVD because the program I used crashed and it won't strip again to give me the last episode in 1 VOB file. I want to join the 'unjoined' files to create 1 VOB file and run it through Eazy VCD > Tmpgenc. -
I discovered the reason why VOBEdit wouldn't work. I have my folder settings set to not show file extensions for known file types. When I deleted the .VOB after the file names and named the files VTS_01_001 thru VTS_01_009 and saved them as VTS_01_1, VOBEdit processed the files into 2 files, .99G and 875Mb. However, I need to have only 1 file to run through Eazy VCD so joining the VOBs didn't help.
I hope this helps someone in the future.

There's a commercial program DVDRemake Pro that says it can merge 4 DVD's
I took a quote from their site
Starting with v 3.0 DvdReMake can be used to merge 2 full dvds (DvdReMake Pro - 4 dvds). This means FULL - keeping original menus, languages, everything.
