Provideo PV256 or PV356

With all the compatibility problems the PV256 is having
with certain motherboards, is it better to get the PV356
instead since the PV356 connects to the PC via USB?

I think both cards use the same mpeg 1/2 encoding chip
which I think is the SteamMachine chip.

You may be correct Tony. However seeing the problems people are getting with the ASD Instant DVD which has the same chip I think I will wait until USB2 or Firewire versions come out or the second generation release.

I must admit the quality of capture with some of these new MPEG1/2 capture cards is very impressive. Check some of the posts in this group for links. The future looks good.
