burn a dvd-video? export to dv-avi and convert to dvd with nerovision or some other dvd converter.

or just burn as a data cd/dvd with video? save as wmv.

  3. Baldrick, thanks. I got it to work. The end result is "ok". However, the video sections (dubbed from VHS) are sort of "pixellated". The rest of the dvd is fine, but the actual video I brought forward is what is in question. It's, at times, blurry..a lil. The original VHS is smooth and on the DVD is smooth.
Here is the system. I'm open to suggestions.
(on install of all of the programs, I have left them all at default.
VHS is 10 years old, 3 hours on one tape.
1-COPY vhs to DVD on Samsung Video recorder. One touch dub. Each DVD only takes 2 hours, so some are staggered.
2-Rip DVD files onto hard drive using DVD decrypter.
3-Use AVI.net to combine the files into one .avi file.
4-import that file in WMM and edit as needed.
5-Burn with NeroVISION. (won't burn with just burning engine ROM)

    FYI-Win XP Pro, 1 GB Ram, P4 2.4 GHZ.

*This is a very special endeavour as I am taking all of our children's old VHS, clipping the highlights and combining with scanned pictures of our 23 years of marriage. Also sprinkled in there are scanned drawings/etc our kids made and this is all, including the c-sections , clipped and set accordingly to tunes. I realize this is an ongoing procedure, but once I get a system, it'll be easier. I want a nice finished product for my family.
    Thanks
