  1. HI I was wondering if anyone clever enough can solve this one, I have downloaded a classic movie in avi format, but it came with two Audio soundtracks one spanish and the other english, on my Nero showtime i can watch this film and change the soundtrack from spanish Audio1 to english Audio2, however when i go to convert it to a dvd file so i can burn it to watch on my dvd player it will only convert it with the spanish language Audio1 soundtrack, I can't get it to convert or find the english Audio2 language soundtrack most frustrating, only Nero showtime will seperate them, but of course can't convert them, does anyone have any solutions to overcome this problem, I have tried software converters like winavi converter, intervideo windvd creater, superdvd creater, but none will reconise the English Audio2 track like Neroshowtime, and yes I have tried Nero's other dvd programs and they don't reconise the Audio2 track either, unless I'm doing something wrong, please advice and thank you for your time. From Bender1.

    Load it in VirtualDubMod.
In the stream list, you'll see all audio tracks. Extract the one you want to keep.
Use AVI as video source, extracted audio as audio source when you encode to DVD specs mpg.
If the audio is AC3, you just run it thru ac3fix (for good measure) and encode AVI vide only to DVD specs m2v. Author ac3+m2v to DVD.

  3. tHANKS FOR YOUR INFO i HAVE NOW GOT VIRTUALDUBMOD AND HAVE DISABLED THE SPANISH TRACK IN THE DTREAM LIST AND HIGHLIGHTED THE ENGLISH TRACK BUT IT STILL PLAYS IN THE PREVIEW SCREEN THE SPANISH TRACK ALTHOUGH IT SAYS IT HAS BEEN DISABLED, AND i'M NOT SURE WHAT YOU MEAN USE AVI AS VIDEO SOURCE, i HAVE SAVED THE ENGLISH AUDIO AS AN MP3, BUT I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE VIRUALDUBMOD TO USE THIS AS AN AUDIO SOURCE, ANY FURTHER SUGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANK YOU.

  4. Load the file in VirtualDubMod. Go to Streams > Streams List. Disable the audio track you dont want. Go to video options and select direct stream copy. Now save the file to a different name. This new AVI file will contain only the desired audio. Now encode this new AVI file to DVD format.
