I edit and encode my video to DVD mpeg standard on Mainactor. The video at this point plays fine. I then demux using the simple demux feature in TMPGenc, since I use DVDAuthorGUI to author my videos. At this point the video becomes "jerky". I've never had this problem before and to the best of my knowledge, nothing has changed in any of the settings. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

  2. 1. Try another demux utility. I would suggest projectx
    2. I don't know Mainactor. Therefore I can't tell you if there could be certain settings which are outside the dvdspecs. But that's something to ask in the encoding forum...

Thanks for your reply. I determined that somehow the field order was changed and that's what was making the video jerky. Thanks also for the suggestion of Project X. That is a pretty cool program. Quite a bit faster at demuxing than TMPGenc.
