    Just curious what people think of the ulead mpeg encoder? ive been using it for a while and have gotten some fairly decent results.

    Same here.
    I have used it a couple of times after editing Mini DV with Video Studio.
    It is definitely better than others I have seen.

    It's a Ulead variation of MainConcept. It's okay. I would be VERY SURE to make your own settings, don't let the computer do it for you by guessing. Also would never let authorware do it. Ulead VS, I'd give a nod to that method, s'alright.

    Im talking purely about the encoder itself not the rest of the program, i use avisynth for everything but the encoding itself.

    Are you saying that the Video Studio MPEG Encoding is different/better than that of DVD Movie Factory?
