It is not Premier Pro 1.5, but rather Encore 1.5

  3. encore is the dvd authoring program. Premjit means the difference between Premiere 7 and Premiere Pro 1.5.

You can do a google search for "premiere pro review" and find countless sites listing the changes.

    Basically:
    no more A/B editing
    nested timelines
    more stable
    drag and drop editing
    new interface

here's some more in depth reviews:

Actually, there was a considerable jump from 6.5 to Premiere Pro (ver7)..
Premiere Pro 1.5 is an enhanced version of Premiere Pro (ver7)..

It allows for more functions borrowed from Adobe After Effects...

As far as using it for NLE purposes, both Premiere programs should do you justice.
If you're looking for eye candy, then don't even bother..Use a dedicated program like After Effects..

    Good luck!!!

The original line of Premiere ended with version 6.5. Premiere Pro 1.0 (aka Premiere 7) was a total rewrite. The new version was written for Windows XP (DirectX) only. Mac was dropped. Premiere Pro 1.5 is the latest version in the new series.

Differences for version 1.5 are listed on the Adobe site.
