I have an MKV encoded using H264 with a DTS audio track. How do I convert that to DVD? The codec as listed by MKVExtractGUI is "V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC". The audio is "A_DTS". I tried to extract the audio as .dts and the video as .avi but nothing happened.![]()
Any help is appreciated.

You can't extract native AVC to avi, only VfW compatibility mode stuff. You should however be able to extract to a raw .264 stream, which if you really wanted you could mux to avi using avc2avi. What next though? You aren't any closer to a DVD.
mkvextract should be able to extract DTS streams, never tried it myself though. Perhaps AVIMuxGUI will do a better job?
