  1. There are many movies that, when I back them up, I want to take out all of the stuff before the main menu (previews, commercials, etc). When using Recode, it forces you to just add a blank screen, or a custom pic. The problem is that I still have to advance past these screens. I've tried experimenting with Remake A DVD and have not gotten a satisfactory result. Whenever I do it, I don't get a Selection option on my DVD (the little whatever that you use on a DVD menu to select what you want to do). Here are my steps, please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

    1. Open Recode 2 (version 2.1.1.20)
    2. Select Remake a DVD
    3. With DVD-Video Files selected, I click on Import Titles
    4. I go to the folder and import the menus first
    5. Following that, I import the main movie titles.
    6. If there is any room left, I will import some special features.
    7. Click Next and complete the encoding as usual

What do I need to do to get this to work properly? I have looked on here for a tutorial for this, but I can't find one.

    Thanks in advance

If you want to keep menu funtinality but want to loose those abnotious banners. Rip your dvd to the HD, then use VOBlanker to take away the extra stuff that you don't want. If you want to take it a step further you can use PGcEdit to make your player to go straight to the menu.

    PGcEdit
    Jump to PGcEdit
