I've just bought a new camcoder, it works in NTSC, I bought it in Canada... but when I will go to Europe for a long time can I use it anyway? Is there some difficulty with different systems?
If somebody knows...please!

Depends on what you would like do with it.
If you want to play your tapes on TV: should be no problem, as long as your TV is multinorm (most TV in EU are that). If you want to make NTSC DVD from it: no problem.
You have the signal convert to PAL only if you want to use PAL TV or PAL DVD player. -
If you have chance to return it, go for it.
My Sony is a PAL type, but can playback NTSC too. Thus alreday recorded tapes aren't lost. -
If you are using the camcorder to make tapes (or DVD) that you will be taking back to Canada, then keep the NTSC model. The video will play on many/most Euro TV sets.Originally Posted by yurapopovych
