Most DVD players and TVs sold here will play NTSC without problems. Playstations and X-Boxes might not be so friendly. There are region 4 ntsc disks in release as well, although this doesn't happen a lot. These come from major studios. I have a large collection of imports and haven't had a problem.
If you have problems, check out what format capabilities you have. Most players can play ntsc native, or pal60, which is a pal output signal at ntsc field rates. Some older TVs may choke on this. Most newer TVs and players will handle native ntsc, so that its the best way to go.Read my blog here.

I've never seen a TV, DVD player or VHS player which doesn't support NTSC here. I don't think you will have a problem. And congratulations you've now joined the masses and realised that buying from the USA or Canada gets you FAR cheaper movies than you can buy here
