  1. I bought 200 4X TY media from supermediastore.com. I have an Memorex 8412AJ and on dvdidentifier and cdspeed the media code i get is TY03. I was told that there is no 4X TY03. My writer will only write it at 2X with the new firmware i put on it. Someone on the forum said they think it may be 16X TY03. Heres all the info from the disc itself if that can help.

The serial # in the dye section is GH000124 and on the opposite side 0211.

Its very hard to read the clear center hub. One part i think says EK5 and then opposite that on other side of the hub it looks like 9k525A401819GK and stamped on TOP of that is EK5

He means thaat i what you have , TY03 should be TYG03

The "X" stands for the # that would normally be used such as 2 or 3.

So what does that imply?? Could be maybe they are fake. There are lots of them out there but I would not think supermediastore would ever do that.
