  1. Hi,

I want to change the audio for couple of scenes on my Marriage DVD. I donot want to loose quality as far as possible by converting into various formats and then reauthoring the DVD again. Can some one help me to achieve this ? I cannot affort to spend money on Editing tools so please give solutions which use free tools.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

I think the easiest way to do this would be to demux the DVD with
DGindex and extract the audio to WAV. Edit your audio with Audacity
and remux with Muxman. Be careful with A/V Sync

    Hope this helps.

Forgot to mention, after your audio edits you can convert the wav audio to ac3 with belight using besweet.

  4. Thanks for a very quick reply. I am not really worried about the audio/video sync as the audio is just a voice over. Basically what I want to do is "Cut" audio from a segmet of DVD and "paste" some other audio in the same segment.

You should be able to do that with Audacity. At least it's freeware, so you have little to lose. It works similar to a word processor, you should be able to cut and paste.

    It may take some experimenting.
