Ipod Nano - Song wont work

I have a song and its MP3 format yet once i select it and put it in my library it doesnt work, the first 5 seconds work then it stops and goes to next track. It works using windows media player though????

So whats the deal?

maybe it's VBR not constant 128 or whatever bitrate

usually players don't like variable bitrates, encode it as constant, and should be fine.

OR, maybe it's mp3PRO.....or the bitrate is too high or low, not under your player specifications.

I use musicmatch, file conversion under File option in menu.
You should use the software that came with the player, that should do it too. I know that Creative's soft does that.
