  1. Hope this makes sense. I'm using Ulead Video Studio 8. I know how to add transitions between separate clips I import. That's simple. What I want to do is take one long clip of a musical performance and add transitions between songs. Can this be done with Ulead?

You would just use the same clip and trim diifferent in/out points.

  3. I got it figured out now. There's an option to split it wherever it's marked at.

  4. Alright, I'm getting frustrated as hell now. I've got 2 videos. The first is 1h1min long and the second 14min. I insert the first into the timeline and start marking my spots where I want it cut. Then as I go on splitting the different spots the video starts to stretch out on the timeline and becomes over 5 hours long. So I put the shorter video in the timeline by itself and added a crapload of different splits and it stays the same length with no variation. The first video had a few extra frames on the end, so I trimmed and saved it in VirtualDubMod thinking maybe that was the problem, but it happened with the original and with the trim. Maybe the original transfer was bad? Or maybe there's some option in Ulead I don't know should be turned on/off. I don't really want to tansfer the video again if I don't have to, so If anyone can give me some alternative I'd be really grateful.

  6. Sorry for the double post. Got some weird connection error message when I hit submit and didn't realize it had posted until it was too late.

If you can't get "Split by Scene" to work for you, try Multi-trim to create clips and then apply transitions on the timeline.

    I normally use Multi-trim.

Are you sure you haven't added the same clips multiple times? It may be a bug in V8, but it works fine in V9.

  9. I'm honestly not sure what was going on. I only added those 2 clips, but extra pieces of those clips seemed to be getting tacked on to the end. I got everything to work eventually and made the best DVD I think I've ever done. I was doing the video as a favor to a potential employer and just wanted to make sure I did the best job I could. I appreciate the input.
