"Incorrect CPMR information" and if I insert the disk (DVD-R/RW) it comes
" cannot record on this Disc " but i can the Disc format in Video or VR mode.

I can only record on my HDD. But when I will rec on DVD-R/RW on Screen come "canīt rec".
I have change the HDD with printo.zip and Pioneer Service ID. The HDD work very good and do not make any mistakes

Why does my Disk Drive not work? The Service-Man from Pioneer says: you must give a new CPRM number, but why? Can anybody help me?

  2. You have to clear the existing CPRM identification number first, then re-enter it, then run the service disc. The service manual describes the process in detail.

    DVR5100 FW 2.82, Disk-Drive 1.04, HardDrive 80GB,: PocketPc printo.zip and Pioneer Service ID (DVD)

    Thanks gshelly61,
I have clear the existing CPRM identification number at the first. It is not all about the Hard Drive special around the Disk1.04 drive. There only is one CPMR ID for the Hard Disk or is this nummber the same for the Disk-Drive in the device?

For your information, I have done it exactly that way for change my Hard Drive:
    1.Change HD
    2. Power ON
3.Confirmation of the CPRM ID No. as follows: press ESC then STEREO, take a note of the 9 digit number, you will need it later( same No. is on the back of recorder), Exit this mode by pressing CLEAR.
4.Deletion of the CPRM ID No.: press ESC + STEREO, input the same number as the ID number and press STOP.
    5. Input of the CPRM ID No. and ID data: press ESC+STEREO, input 9-digit ID number then press SEARCH to register ID, after this recorder's display indicates "INSERT ID", open drawer with recorder's OPEN/CLOSE button and insert ID disc, close. After recorder’s display indicates "ID DATA OK" press CLEAR button.

Also, I have do it with a random number ID and also it works great. But this way is only change the ID for the Hard Drive.

Now, I search Information to change the CPRM number only for the Disk-Drive !!
This was my fault, I have the Disk-Drive improved and again installed.

Hopes, somebody have the service manual and can give me information to do change the CPRM ID only or the Disk-Drive (not for the Hard Drive).

    Thanks, JB
