I was wondering how good the quality is when backing up a dvd using the 352x480 option in dvd Rebuilder? I got some discs I want to back up but they are double-sided dual layer discs and I don't want to buy dual layer discs to use. The video is around 2hours and 45 minutes on each side. What settings do you recommend I use?

I did the godfather (161 minuites) at full-D1 with 3 passes in DVD-RB. The quality is slightly lower than the original, but not blocky. You can use half-D1 to make it fit more compfortably, but the image will be softer because of it. Try doing some tests by running just the prepare stage, the encoding just the first couple of segments. You can then watch the video and see if you are happy with the results.
