    i've read most of the conversion links. i need a simple method of converting the audio and video on my dvds to mpeg or avi (or whatever has the same or better quality) so that i can edit it on my compurter. i'm using dvd decrypter and that is gettin me the vob files but when i go to upload the files in my editing program it is not showing any audio. just need a simple method. thanks

    You can also try VOB2MPEG.

    It is a freeware app that will convert vobs to mpeg files. It is simple and seems to work quite well.
