  1. Is the burning quality of a 12x or 8x Taiyo Yuden -R any better than a 4x, if all you are going to burn is at 4x speed?

    8X media burnt at 4X would be of no higher quality than 4X. I personally burn my 4X TYG01's @ 8X with excellent results, very good PI/PO scans.

  3. It depends on the burner. I have tried a lot of TYG01 as well as TYG02 at many speeds. I found that my best burn ever was on my LG 4163 on TYG02 at 4X.

    Total PIF errors=0.

  6. Too bad your drive/software does not report PIF errors.

    PlexTools can report PIFs, you just have to change the dropdown box from Sum8 to Sum1 and scan again.
