  1. Browsing around the Sony DL burner site and lo and behold found some Verbatim DL discs. Obviously not at the nice competive prices you find online or at fine retail establishments. Also noted how the Verbatim name is missing from the package picture. Have to wonder why Sony didn't offer their own DL media for sale (ROF found it listed at Comp USA)?

    NOOOOOO! Run away! Verbatim DVDs are terrible! Can't get any playable movies from them. Not too great for data either.

    You're kidding right? Verbatim DL is about the only useful DL media out there, and their single-layer media is considered second only to Taiyo Yuden.

    After the experiences I've had with their single-layer media, I wouldn't touch Verbatim if it was given to me for free.

    You most likely had CMC media from a few years ago, not true MKM or MCC media. Remember that Verbatim is just a brand.
