  2. i dont know what to think anymore, if it is the program that is causing all the errors or my dvd player.. i am sure it is not the media because recently i bought new blanks and still the same thing..

the problem i have once i convert avi files to dvd's, is that it plays for lets say one hour and then it just pauses every 5 seconds till the end of the movie..

today i realised, one dvd was playing perfect yesterday and today it started pausing like the rest. the dvd was playing for a long time too... maybe the dvd player is faulty because the dvd's play perfectly on my computer...

i use dvds unlimited.. i need help i dont know wat the problem is and i have been trying to find out for a few weeks now

    thanks in advance

I don't know this software, and it took a few minutes to finally narrow down it's actual supplier. It seems to do pretty much what the free version of DivxtoDVD does, and costs twice what the full version of DivxtoDVD costs. So aside from the blatent rip-off factor . . . .

What blank media are you using (the media code, not the brand) ? The symptoms sound a lot like poor media. PC drives tend to be more tolerent of poor media that standalone players, so you PC would play them back when your player wouldn't. You should also use something like DVD Info Pro to test your burns before you play them.

Get rid of DVD unlimited and get the free DivxtoDVD.

It may be your Prog, your media or very likely your DVD player if you say one movie played well one day and not the other. Even the worst media will not deteriorate in one day.
Almost 100% of the time movies fail at the end, it's due to bad media regardless of brand.

I just bought 400 genuine hub printable TYs from supermedia.com at about $44 - Had a very large job to put out.

Truly great media. Even the packaging is 1st class. No a single bad disc.

Then get yourself a good modern DVD burner, lots of choices.

At least then you will sort of eliminate two possible variables.
