    How to speed up my DVD-rom Lite-on SOHD-16p9s. I have it for 2 months but never see it runs better than 8x. Any advice or crakeway?
    If I use Nero diskcopy from D: to E: with quick copy selected it cost 27 minutes to finish. Without quickcopy selected 18 minutes to finish.
    But if I use CloneDVD It takes 17.7 minutes (12 minutes to read 5 minutes to writes).
    Thanks,
    //Tonny

  4. How do you measure the speed ??
    Are you copying many small files or a few big files?
    How fast should it be ??
    Do you have unrealistic expectations ??
    ARe you angry at your hardware??
    Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
    The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

    If that's for DUAL LAYER MEDIA @ 7.5 speed is normal. If you want a fast reader then buy a BENQ 1640 then use the SPEED READ PATCH firmware and you'll be blazing.
