  1. I have a client who shot the last 5 minutes of a wedding with their camcorder laying on it's side. Yes, they shot it this way on purpose thinking that it would be "vertical like a photo to get more in." After my laughter died down I told them I would try to help.

So, in Vegas 5 is there a simple way to rotate the video 90 degrees? I don't know if it needs to turn clock-wise or counter clock-wise but I figure that doesn't really matter.

    Thanks.

PS. I know I can take the segment out and load it into Proshow gold, rotate it and then create a new mpeg file. This is real down and dirty but I figure Vegas might give me more options and control.

You could the rotate filter in Avisynth on that segment of the video and frameserve that to your encoder.

  4. Thanks all for the speedy replies.

I haven't used Vegas in a while and completely forgot about the "Pan/Crop" tool.
