    i have an mpeg file, a music video i downloaded and it plays fine if i watch it from beginning to end but if i want to scan to any point of the song the audio becomes out of sync with the video. this happens in windows media player 10, classic, n my divix player. when i play it using quicktime pro it works fine... i tried reinstalling all my codecs divix, vivx, 3vix. please anyhelp will be greatly apreciated.

    It is not the players, the file itself is corrupt (missing the sequence headers)

    it was working fine up till about a few days ago. i mean not just this mpeg file but all my files with .mpeg do this..
