  1. I am trying to convert a movie comprised of three svcd files to burn to DVD. I am using tmpg 2.512.52.161 also have 2.58.44.152. I have followed the sticky in regards to tmpgenc problems. I have tried all those and still can't get the files to load. The file(s), however, will open with the mpeg tools. I am using this guide here https://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=522 There is once difference with my files than those in the guide. My files extension is .mpg while those in the guide is .dat, don't know if that makes a diiference. Any help would be appreciated

Well dat suggests MPEG1, which TMPGEnc can read fine.

Do you have a compatible MPEG2 dshow decoder installed? How about the MPEG2 VFAPI plugin?

  3. I have tried this one I got here http://www.marumo.ne.jp/mpeg2/ I also installed stinky's mpeg2 codec and still cannot open the mpeg2 file. I suppose I'll have to find another method to convert the files to DVD. By the way, I can't get WMP10 to open the mpeg2 files, but they will open in Roxio DVDMAX. Thanks for your reply

Try running the files through DGIndex then and then opening the D2V as a source. Really though the above VFAPI plugin should work.
