    Hello everyone:

I have been using Nero 6 to make my CDs. Most of the time, Nero would burn with no warnings. Sometimes, a warning message will appear as follows:

Nero has detected that the following audio properties are not supported by your recorder in the current write mode and need to be modied.

    Additional index position not supported

Nero will change the audio track settings for you to fit the capabilities of your recorder. This might cause some audio propeerties to be lost.

All my audio files are of the same type: Wave files, PCM,44,100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo. And, I have never created any index. What the hell is this crappy Nero talking about? Nero

    Thanks

  2. It sounds like your burner doesn't support Audio CD text mode or something lame like that which doesn't matter anyway, and nero is detecting that and warning you that it isn't burning that part to the CD. It's really no problem, if everything plays/sounds fine, don't worry about it.

"Additional index position" doesn't sound like CD text to me, which by the way is not lame. Without CD text on a supported player you just get untitled track. In my car that means I need to change the display, then if I goto play an mp3 CD or use my ipod, I have to change it back so it displays the title text.

As I understand it it is possible to set index positions within tracks so that you can skip within the actual track. The error would seem to fit that more.
