For all of you that love the burn engine in DvdDecrypter, LightningUK has spun it off as a freestanding program, with improvements.
It's available at imgburn.com

Now he should make a tool for all us DVD recorder users, one that extracts an MPEG stream in IFO mode. Decrypting is wholly unneeded, we just need an IFO extraction tool.
That was what I used DVD Decrypter for 99% of the time.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Does it also do the "Iso Read" function? Would come in handy for copying un-encrypted DVDs. Would be especially handy if it copied from one drive to another on the fly.

I agree with lorsmurf and dphirshler.
It needs ISO read and Mpeg Stream Processing tools.
It appears to burn cds too. -

waheed is right, there is a "Suggestions" area of the forum at the site, and it's free, quick and easy to become a member. If you would like to suggest he make a "IFO extraction tool", or an "Iso Reader", drop him a note. Maybe you'll get your wish. -
When I went earlier, the forum was blank, like it has not been set up.

question is - is the the real one ?
remember there have been fakes before"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
I too would be keen to see a Disk to Disk "on the fly" copying mode. Or one that works via HD. Like many people I felt safer with LightningUKs product than others

Actually, I don't think r0lZ helped LightningUK to develop ImgBurn. In the ImgBurn forum where r0lZ announced he had included ImgBurn support in the latest version of PgcEdit, r0lZ said:
...I trust ImgTools, so, I have not tested it extensively.
As to whether this is the real LightningUK, the fake guy (a while back) only offered the existing DvdDecrypter. This is a complete repackaging of the burn engine of DvdDecrypter, complete with improvements. Only someone who had access to LighningUK's source code to DvdDecrypter's burn engine and understood how it worked could have produced ImgBurn.
After DvdDecrypter was shut down, I did an exhaustive search of the nooks and crannies of the internet looking for the source code, and didn't find even a hint of a code fragment. I strongly believe that LighningUK kept a tight lid on his source code.
Of course, someone could have reverse assembled/compiled DvdDecrypter, and gone on from there, but even a crack team of programmers couldn't possibly have gotten this far, this fast.
As far as I'm concerned, if it walks like a LighningUK, and quacks like a LightningUK, it probably is a LighningUK. -
I didn't mean to infer that Rolz helped Lightning UK develop IMGBurn - but that he requested the burning utility from DVDDecrypter for his program PGCEdit.
From Doom9's forum:
PgcEdit 0.6.1 released
Main changes from latest beta (PgcEdit 0.6.1 beta 12):
ImgBurn support. Thanks Lightning UK!
Either way, I don't believe Rolz would utilize a program that he was unsure of the creator of that program. The point of my previous post was to show that the creator of DVDDecrypter is also the creator of IMGBurn. -
