  1. I noticed that JVC offers the 9000 series models, refurbished, for around $300. Does anyone have positive experiences buying refurbished models?

  5. Well, I bit the bullet and bought a JVC HR-S9800U, so I won't be needing the 7600 after all. But thanks for the tip...

I have had my 9800 for several years now, I bought it originally as a 9600 that was going to be "restocked soon, order now" and it turned out to be a 9800. It's never let me down, great machine. Cost $500 new back then, and that was the best price available.
