I have tried to search this site, I hope that this is not answered somewhere all ready, sorry!

1. Just wondering if LSX 2.0 plug-in for Premiere 6.0 is able to render DVD-r files...in the pull-downs for file conversion ('File-Export Timeline-Movie-Load')there are many possibilities, not sure which one is correct. The closest one looks like "LSX MPEG2 DVD assets (NTSC)".

2. It creates 2 files and the extensions are... (filename).m2v for the video and (filename).mp2. Are these recognized by a DVD writer such as the HP DVD100i?
If not, can anyone suggest (through Premiere plug-ins if possible) the correct format/settings?
And, what are any other file extensions that a DVD writer will recognize to burn a DVD-r or DVD+rw?

3. The reason why I am asking is because I capture in uncompressed 720x480 AVI, and you all know how large those files can be. Right now an uncompressed five-minute AVI is taking up a handsome 10+ Gig on my hard drive. What I need to do is finalize my AVI edits through the godsend Premiere (because it is so easy to flow through the timeline with uncompressed AVI, and renders the best quality in my opinion due to the original being uncompressed) and then convert them to all DVD-writer recognizable file extensions and put each one on CDROMs to archive until I acquire a DVD writer and slide them back to C: at a later date. If I erase the AVIs from my hard drive, Premiere will not allow me to edit any of those projects.

I am making SVCDs now, and very happy, but I am looking to the future. Once my AVIs are deleted, that's it!!

In summary,

What is the LSX-MPEG 2.0 plug-in setting for Premiere 6.0 to convert to DVD file extensions?

What are file extensions for both audio and video that a DVD-writer will accept?

Thanks for whatever suggestions, this site is the best for info, can't tell you how many times I have gotten help here.
