Ok, My friend gave me a external harddrive full of 'Lost' I really want to watch the show but I have to burn it. I want to have it so it works on actual dvd players, and not just on my computer. I'd like to have a simple menu that shows me what episodes are on the disk. It's labeled from a hdtv if that helps.
Currently, here's what I know about the shows:
They're about 40-45 mins long each
They're about 350 mbs each
They are .avis? (not sure on this, because every program I've tried that uses avis says they aren't yet in windows they show up as .avi... that perplexes me)
They have an area of 624*352 (this was a problem with encore, it didn't like the size)
A bit rate of 157kbps
Sound is mpeg layer 3
23/frames a second
rate of 139kbps
Any time I try and convert it, becasue of adobe encore, it says it isn't a recognizible format.
^^^ I have no clue what will help you (or me in fact) I just recopied everything Xp gave me willingly. I ended up loosing the programs as my dad went through is periodic wiping of 'useless' programs.
My questions are:
Why won't any program accept these?
Is there a way that I can change the resolution?
About how many can I fit on a dvd? (the whole file is 8.6something gigs, so I figured around 3 dvds?)
What program(s) should I be using?
If you help me, or even point me in the vaguest idea of the right direction, I will outright love you ^_^
