Hi there. One of my friends around here has an old VHS tape that he wants to add some subs in English. I told him I could do that for him, but first he had to send the video to someone to capture and author a DVD, what he's already done. Here at home, I used DVD Decrypter to rip the file (no splitting) and later I droped the VOB in DVDA version 3.0b. One thing I noticed that made very curious. DVDA shows me that the total size is about 5.3 GB (the recorded disc where the video had been recorded is about 4.7 GB). I was just wonderign how this could be possible????? Maybe a bug in DVDA, I don't know. One more thing: the guy who authored the DVD used U-Lead. I guess I'll have to compress the whole file with DVDA once again. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Well, maybe it is a bug and DVDA will recompress the file - what is bad! Here's what GSpot says....I've also noticed that the cursor says it is about 3.79 GB.....weird, isn't it?

    Thanks in advance

  6. What if you ignore the warning, and Hit Make DVD,does it start to Re-encode the Video? or the Audio or Both?

Maybe it doesnt like Ulead's Video File.

    Here's what DVDA says.....

Thank you very much for your suggestions, but I think field order doesn't make any difference for NTSC.
