streaming real media

Hi ,

I have some rm files that I want to stream on a website. I use the rm file with a RAM file.

When i try to look at the rm file from a webserver (using the ram file 1st), it seems to download the whole file first rather than stream it. The webserver is just a regular webserver. Does the webserver need to have special server software for streaming to happen or can it be done on a webserver that only uses http protocol?
